Introduction of Course

The department offers a three-year post-graduate programme, Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A). The students of the department are nurtured by the skilled and experienced faculty to become competent and confident professionals. The research ambience provided by the department helps the student to come up with innovative solutions and to take up challenging jabs or higher studies such as doctoral programmes.

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme was started with the view of producing application developers in an age when the global IT market was looking up and there was an increasing need for skilled software professionals. It has been approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to JNTU Kakinada. The broad objective of the MCA programme is to prepare graduate students for productive careers in software industry and academia by providing an outstanding environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline. The Programmer’s thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to the latest computer software development. The programme emphasizes the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking and commercial problems.
